Spouses of the Presidents of Poland and the Republic of Korea met in Belvedere with scouts and guides who will take part in the 25th World Scout Jamboree 2023, held in South Korea. The next Jamboree will take place in 2027 in Poland.

Jamboree, which is the largest educational event aimed at young people, this year will last from August 1 to 12 and will take place in SaeManGeum, near the Byeonsanbando National Park, and will be attended by about 40,000 participants and over 7,000 volunteers and staff from all countries and territories of the world where the Scout Movement operates. 535 people will go from Poland.

During conversation in the Belvedere, representatives of Polish Contingent told the First Ladies about their preparations for the Jamboree. As part of them, in June this year, they visited the Korean Culture Center at the Embassy of Korea, where they took part in workshops introducing culture, history, as well as getting to know the cuisine of this country and its alphabet.

The wife of the President of the Republic of Poland asked her guests today, among other things, what Korean words they learn before leaving to communicate more easily on the spot.

Agata Kornhauser-Duda in a conversation with scouts and guides admitted that she was surprised by the information that every scout has only one opportunity in his life to go to Jamboree as a participant. This condition does not apply to volunteers.

As scouts and guides explained, this is a special time when young people from all over the world have the opportunity to get to know each other’s cultures, customs, scout songs, as well as social games. That’s why during the meeting in Belvedere, they invited the Presidential Ladies to compete in one of the games they liked. Agata Kornhauser-Duda admitted that she knows this entertainment perfectly from childhood.
The Polish Contingent consists of 535 people from all regions of Poland.
