The planning team for the 26th World Scout Jamboree Poland 2027 recently visited the Pol’and’Rock Festival, one of Europe’s largest and most vibrant outdoor festivals, held annually in Czaplinek. Hosted by Jurek Owsiak, this iconic event, often dubbed the “Polish Woodstock,” attracts around 400,000 attendees each year, offering a rich blend of music, culture, and community spirit.
Exploring the festival’s backstage provided our team with invaluable insights into large-scale event management. The festival’s strong focus on inclusivity, volunteer engagement, and creating a positive atmosphere aligns with the core values of Scouting. These lessons will play a crucial role as we prepare for the World Scout Jamboree in 2027, ensuring that we deliver a safe, dynamic, and memorable experience for Scouts from around the globe.
We extend our heartfelt thanks to Jurek Owsiak and the Pol’and’Rock team for their warm hospitality and for sharing their wealth of experience. The spectacular site in Czaplinek, combined with the festival’s community-driven ethos, offers a perfect model as we continue to develop our plans for the Jamboree.
