Job title: Technical Expert (City Game), City Module Section, Programme Department
Nature of engagement: Volunteer contract
Duration: From January 2025 until the end of the project in December 2027 or earlier, depending on volunteer availability, but no less than December 2025. 

The City Module of the Programme Department for World Scout Jamboree 2027 aims to showcase Polish culture, heritage, and the City of Gdańsk through engaging city games and museum visits. Participants will experience the historical beauty and rich heritage of Poland while achieving the educational objectives of the Jamboree. 

What you should expect

Responsibilities: 

  • Design an engaging city game programme that highlights Polish heritage and the City of Gdańsk, aligned with the educational goals of the Jamboree. 
  • Collaborate with team members to ensure activities are age-appropriate, safe, and meet the overall objectives of the Jamboree. 
  • Coordinate with suppliers to procure necessary equipment and materials. 
  • Work with partners, including museums and cultural institutions, to provide enriching experiences for participants. 
  • Ensure the smooth operation of the City Module and address any issues that arise during the event.

  • Experience in organising city games and ensuring they meet both educational and entertainment goals. 

Formal Requirements 

This position is open only to candidates from Poland. Applicants from Poland should meet the following requirements: 

  • Active membership in the Polish Scouting & Guiding Association (ZHP). 
  • Recent leadership service within ZHP, with an endorsement from a District or Regional Commissioner. 
  • Fluency in spoken and written English.
