What does this mean? Simply put: stronger national support for the Jamboree.
This appointment is the next step following the Polish government’s official commitment made back in 2023, when the Council of Ministers adopted a resolution guaranteeing state support for the preparation and delivery of the Jamboree. With this new role, inter-ministerial coordination and collaboration with public services will be easier and more effective — helping ensure that Scouts from around the world experience a safe, well-organised, and unforgettable Jamboree in Gdańsk.
While the Jamboree remains fully Scout-led, this move adds a powerful boost from national institutions. The Government Plenipotentiary will work to support preparations by connecting the dots across various ministries and agencies — making sure everything from infrastructure and security to health services and logistics runs smoothly.
The appointment also builds on the foundations laid during last year’s visit to Poland by leaders from the World Organization of the Scout Movement. It shows that Poland is not only proud to host the 26th World Scout Jamboree, but is also fully committed at every level to helping make it a success.
We’re excited to continue the journey toward 2027 — and now, with even more support behind the scenes, we’re more ready than ever to welcome the world to Gdańsk!
