The meeting provided an opportunity to share the latest information and agreements that will help more than 150 contingents from WOSM member organizations prepare for the largest outdoor educational event in the world, the World Scout Jamboree.
Representatives of “Poland 2027” also joined the meeting. We had the opportunity to see the preparations firsthand, establish relationships with our counterparts from South Korea, and get a glimpse of what awaits us in just four years. It was also a time to observe the progress of infrastructure work related to the construction of the campsite.
We also took the opportunity to meet in person with some of the volunteers who applied for “Poland 2027” during the latest open call. These volunteers are involved in the preparations for this year’s jamboree.
As our aspiration is to build an organizational culture based on the experiences of previous organizers and pass on the acquired knowledge and experience to the next ones, this is not our last interaction with the Jamboree 2023 organizers.
Meanwhile, we return to Europe with clear tasks for the next 90 days before the Jamboree begins. We will meet again in Korea – you will find us at the campsite in the Delta zone, in the “Poland 2027” tent.
