Sponsorship and partnership strategy and assets for the 26th World Scout Jamboree – Poland 2027
1.0 Background and objective
The World Scout Jamboree (WSJ) is the flagship event of the World Organisation of the Scout Movement (WOSM), bringing together over 50,000 Scouts from around the world. The 26th World Scout Jamboree, scheduled for 30 July – 8 August 2027 in Poland, offers an unparalleled platform to foster intercultural understanding, youth development, and global citizenship.
To ensure the event’s success, World Scouting and the Jamboree’s Organising Committee are seeking to develop and secure sponsorship and partnership opportunities that align with World Scouting’s vision and values.
The consultancy will initially support the development of a comprehensive sponsorship and partnership strategy and accompanying assets that resonate with potential corporate, institutional, and philanthropic partners. Further work supporting and securing sponsorship income could be secured, subject to further agreement and negotiation.
2.0 Scope of work
2.1 Sponsorship and partnership strategy development
- Conduct consultations with staff volunteers and key stakeholders.
- Define a clear value proposition for sponsors and partners.
- Develop a tiered sponsorship structure and price point for global partners
- Include strategies for in-kind contributions – with a particular focus on budget ‘budget relieving support’ for merchandise, equipment, food and beverages (but not limited to – an initial scoping has been carried out and can be shared to inform the approach)
- Outline risk mitigation measures to ensure alignment with WOSM’s ethical guidelines.
2.2 Market research and identifying opportunities engagement and research
- Analyse existing sponsorship trends in global / regional youth events.
- Map and identify potential partnership opportunities aligned with the Jamboree’s objectives and World Scouting’s values.
2.3 Asset development
- Design a compelling sponsorship package (e.g. presentations, brochures, digital assets).
- Include tailored marketing materials to target diverse sectors (e.g. corporate, institutional, philanthropic).
- Provide guidance on branding opportunities for sponsors during the Jamboree.
2.4 Implementation roadmap
- Provide an actionable roadmap for securing sponsorships and partnerships.
- Recommend strategies for nurturing and maintaining long-term relationships with partners beyond the WSJ for the benefit of future events and World Scouting.
2.5 Capacity building
- Deliver training or workshops to equip the Jamboree Organising Committee and World Scout Burea team with tools and skills for sponsor engagement.
3.0 Deliverables
3.1 Sponsorship and partnership strategy document
- Includes tiered structures, guidance of pricing, sector-specific recommendations, and risk mitigation strategies.
3.2 Sponsorship and partnership assets
- Marketing toolkit (digital and print materials).
3.3 Mapping of potential targets and implementation roadmap
- List of proposed targets and mapping of opportunities.
- Detailed timeline and action plan.
3.4 Training materials
- Workshop content, materials, and delivery for capacity building.
3.5 Final report
- Overview of the process, insights, and recommendations for future events.
4.0 Duration and budget
- The consultancy is expected to last 3 months, beginning in February 2025 and concluding by May 2025 (exact dates to be confirmed).
- The budget available for the initial work outlined in this scope is up to 20,000 USD. Further work could be considered subject to the quality of the services delivered and opportunities that can be leveraged.
5.0 Qualifications and experience
The consultancy / consultant(s) should have:
- Proven expertise in developing sponsorship strategies for large-scale events.
- Experience working with youth organisations or global non-profits.
- Strong communication, marketing, and branding skills.
- Understanding of ethical partnership practices.
- Strong networks and connections with potential sponsors.
