Meeting with the Chairperson of the Public Benefit Committee before departure to Korea

The Minister of Culture and National Heritage, Prof. Piotr Gliński, met yesterday with representatives of the Polish Scouting & Guiding Association (ZHP), under the leadership of Chief Scout Martyna Kowacka. During the meeting, the scouts invited the Minister, who - as the Chairman of the Public Benefit Committee - actively supports scout organisations through the Government Program for Supporting the Development of Scouting, to participate in the 25th World Scout Jamboree.

This year’s scout gathering will take place from 1-12 August in SaeManGeum (Jeollabuk-do), South Korea.

The Jamboree is an international event of the World Organization of the Scout Movement (WOSM), which has been held every four years since 1920. It is the largest educational event for young people aged 14-17, in which one can only participate once in a lifetime.

From the Organising Committee for the World Scout Jamboree 2027, the Executive Director, Karol Gzyl, and Co-ordinator for Governmental Relations, Małgorzata Sinica, accompanied the Chief Commissioner.
