Duration: From September 2025 until the end of the project in December 2027

Department description

The Transport department is responsible for the transportation needs of all members of the World scout Jamboree 2027 in Gdansk Poland. From off-site program transport to Arrival and Departure, to Fleet management and Daily transport operations… we do it all!

Role description

As Assistant Lead of Section, you will be one of the assistants to the leads of sections for the Transportation department. Your main role will be to provide the leads with assistance with their tasks and provide them with the information they need. You will do this for all 4 sections of the TRA department, depending on the assigned tasks. These 4 sections are: Transport Operations, Arrivals and Departures, Fleet Management and Off-site Program Transport.

Help section leads with tasks and assignments, depending on the work volume of each section and on the needs

Assist the (head of) department with tasks and assignments related to each of the section, as per the needs of the department

Background Experience

experience in logistics or transportation is preferable

Experience in large (scouting) events

Applicants from Poland should meet the following requirements:

active membership in the Polish Scouting & Guiding Association (ZHP)

completed leader’s service in the previous year and an opinion of the relevant Regional Commissioner or Chief Commissioner (Komendant Hufca / Komendant Chorągwi / Naczelnik ZHP)

positive experience of projects at least at regional level (domestic)

ability to communicate freely in spoken and written English

Applicants from abroad should meet the following requirements:

Active membership in one of the organisations belonging to the World Organization of the Scout Movement (WOSM)

a favourable opinion from the International Commissioner

positive experience of projects at international level

ability to communicate freely in spoken and written English

An endorsement letter from your International Commissioner that includes their favorable opinion on your profile and application for this role.
