On 20 August in Cairo, representatives from the Polish Scouting and Guiding Association (ZHP) and partners of the 26th World Scout Jamboree met with the leadership of the World Organization of the Scout Movement (WOSM) to discuss the progress of preparations.
Andy Chapman, Chairperson of the World Scout Committee, and Ahmad Alhendawi, WOSM Secretary General, received an update from Martyna Kowacka, ZHP Chief Commissioner, and Karol Gzyl, Executive Director of the Jamboree Organising Committee. The update focused on developments since the last meeting in this format, held in Seoul in August 2023, on the sidelines of the 25th World Scout Jamboree.

Both parties emphasized the importance of mutual cooperation in ensuring that the 26th World Scout Jamboree is not only a successful event but also a model of sustainability and inclusivity. Discussions highlighted the shared commitment to creating an environment where Scouts from all backgrounds can thrive, with a focus on implementing eco-friendly practices and joint solidarity efforts to enable participation of young people from all Member Organisations of WOSM.
