This historic event of the World Organization of the Scout Movement (WOSM), organised by the Polish Scouting and Guiding Association (ZHP), marks the first time the Jamboree will be hosted in Central Europe.
The World Scout Jamboree, a global event that occurs every four years since 1920, brings together tens of thousands of Scouts aged 14 to 17 from all corners of the world. The Jamboree is designed to promote international friendship, cultural exchange, and personal development, aligning with the core principles of Scouting. The 2027 edition, themed “Bravely,” will be a milestone for Poland, showcasing its dedication to youth development and global engagement.
The ZHP, as the host organisation, is working closely with WOSM to ensure the event reflects the values and standards of the global Scouting movement. The Honourable Donald Tusk’s leadership in the Honorary Committee underscores the significance of the event and Poland’s commitment to the success of the Jamboree.
As preparations continue, the ZHP is focused on creating a programme filled with educational, recreational, and cultural activities. These experiences are designed to help Scouts build leadership skills, foster a sense of global responsibility, and deepen their understanding of diverse cultures. The 2027 World Scout Jamboree in Gdańsk is poised to be a transformative experience, contributing to the global Scouting movement’s mission to inspire and empower young people.
Prime Minister Tusk’s involvement in this prestigious event highlights Poland’s dedication to the values of Scouting and its role in promoting peace, understanding, and cooperation among the world’s youth.
